This is a very tender and super mild bratwurst - use low heat so as not to break open the casing. 6 Pounds. Approx. 4 to the pound. Requires expedited shipping to ensure freshness. Ships Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays only. Expedited shipping is recommended when shipping to warmer states. During periods of exceptionally warm summer weather, this product may require overnight shipping. You will be contacted if additional shipping costs are necessary. These are great weisswurst. I have bought many boxes from this retailer. They taste great, arrive in excellent condition and keep well in the freezer.

Thought I was back in Munich. Now if only I had some applemustard and a soft pretzel and of course a weissbeer I'd really be in heaven. I did not fry it! Will order more.

I love weisswurst and have them every christmas for dinner. We fry them with cut up onions and about 4 T. butter. They are browned and perfect! We eat them with grey poupon and spaghetti with brown gravy. Whatever the previous comment said ignore. They are just as good fried. Make sure it is on low heat they cook up quick and stay good as leftovers for the next day. This vendor is great. Comes frozen!

Short and sweet...this is perfect weisswurst.

If you like weisswurst and love the soft tender sausage that is slightly sweet and perfectly seasoned, you will love this! Traditionally served for breakfast (or before noon), it is gently heated in water and served hot to the table in the water to keep it warm and moist. We break the rules and eat it anytime. Excellent with german red cabbage or sauerkraut and mashed potatoes with a brown mushroom gravy. Mmmm good!

Traditionally, this is prepared in a pot with water and a bottle of good German beer and sliced onions then gently simmered.

To make it even better, take your pot of water, German beer, sliced onions and add a handful of brown sugar, some salt, a bay leaf, 7 whole cloves, a few grates of nutmeg and a couple pinches of allspice...let the seasoned water simmer covered for @10 mins then add the weisswurst (frozen) and cover. As soon as it begins to simmer again (bubbles just starting) remove from heat and keep covered letting it steep and heat up for @5-10 more mins then serve in the pot to the table. Yum!
