When it comes to dinnertime, most of us find ourselves in the same predicament day in and day out. What should we do for dinner? This is a question that dogs most of us multiple times a week. Although we all have our favorites and traditions – maybe breakfast for dinner Thursdays or Taco Tuesdays – it is easy to run out of meal ideas pretty quickly. This is especially true when fussy eaters are involved or when a long day has been spent at work or in school. Specifically, that which comes from Alaska, which boasts one of the best seafood productions in the world in the world. Alaska seafood species come in a wide variety, meaning that you are sure never to get bored. This also means that even the pickiest of eaters will find something they like, whether that be Alaska King Crab, shrimp, halibut or cod.
Beyond variety, may Alaska Seafood species have tons of health benefits. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recommends that we take in two servings of seafood each week. Why? Because it offers a lot of nutrients not found in other foods. Seafood is, in fact, one of the healthiest meat products around.
While some Alaska Seafood species have a bad rap for being fatty (as in salmon and shrimp), the fats found in these foods are not necessarily the bad kinds. Omega-3 fatty acids found in seafood are extremely important for heart health and mind function and have a positive effect on several parts of the body. The lean protein found in seafood is hard to beat, too.
Therefore, before agonizing over what to have for dinner tonight, go online, look up a recipe and head to the grocery store to pick up some delicious Alaska seafood. You will be sure to find more than one dish or fish that catches your eye and put something new, delicious and healthy on the dinner table tonight.
